Do not miss Jazz on the Plaza; get info here.

(Jazz on the Plaza info is in the frame, in blue, to the left of this link's screen.)

JAZZ ON THE PLAZA RETURNED TODAY; THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST JAZZ SERIES IN NYC, AND IT IS TOTALLY FREE! - World-class jazz every Thursday afternoon 12:30-1:45pm, Citicorp Center, NYC.

After a two-season hiatus Jazz on the Plaza at St. Peter's Church/Citicorp Center, Manhattan, is back.
The great (Professor) Antonio Hart (alto sax) led a Queens College ensemble, with faculty member (and longtime "Heath Brother") Jeb Patton on keyboards; Mavis Poole, vocals; Marcus Schulte, gtr.; Carlos Pena, bass; Silvio Morger, dr.; (apologies if names are not quite right; no written personnel list.)

Professor Hart, protege of living jazz legend Jimmy Heath, is a genius and he and his group TORE IT UP today, on a gorgeous afternoon.
I REPEAT, JAZZ ON THE PLAZA IS ONE OF THE BEST CONCERT SERIES IN NYC AND IT IS TOTALLY FREE; THIS SERIES RUNS THROUGH AUGUST AND FEATURES WORLD-CLASS TALENT AND IS NOT TO BE MISSED. ONE STOP IN FROM QUEENS, ON THE E-TRAIN.
