Not Quite Queens, but Close, and WORLD CLASS

St. Peter's Church (the Jazz Church) is doing its Jazz on the Plaza series again after a two-year hiatus, starting in May 2010. (It is not in Queens but it is right above the first E-train stop in Manhattan from Queens.)

This series has featured MAJOR, world-class talent, and lots of it. Jazz on the Plaza is one of the best things about living in NYC - do not miss it.

DIRECTIONS:
To reach the college by SUBWAY, take the E train to the last stop, walk east on Archer Blvd. (keeping the LIRR on your right) and turn right on Guy. R. Brewer Blvd.
To reach the college by CAR, take the Van Wyck Expressway to the exit #4 (Liberty Ave.) and go EAST on Liberty Ave. Drive approximately a mile and then turn left on Guy R. Brewer Blvd. You may park in the lot surrounding the Performing Arts Center.

YORK COLLEGE SUMMER JAZZ PROGRAM '10

Dear jazz fans,

Please circulate this information on the YORK COLLEGE SUMMER JAZZ PROGRAM '10 to current NYC public high school sophomores and juniors or their parents. We are trying to cast as wide a net as possible this year to fill our 31 spots with the strongest musicians possible.

AUDITIONS are Sunday, April 25 @ 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. in the York College Performing Arts Center.
